The Floating Island – the Lost Journals of Ven Polypheme Initially, this slow–starting story felt like a variation on a Victorian gothic machine fantasy (no, not steampunk!), except for being set in the world of Vaarn and Serendair.
Somewhere along the way however, the story tilted out of the twilight into something quite The Floating Island book light and dark, charm and strange/5.
